Cornerstone Grand Council, Inc. is a Maryland‑based nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through education, resource access, and direct support services. Our work is rooted in the belief that every resident deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of economic or social barriers.
Our charter authorizes us to “deliver direct and collaborative community‑based services and assistance consistent with provisions of IRS (c)(3) relief to the poor, distressed and underprivileged” (Articles of Amendment, p. 1). This commitment guides every program we deliver.
Our Mission
We empower individuals and families by expanding access to information, educational opportunities, and essential community resources. As stated in our foundational materials, we “serve as a conduit for a service environment to produce community interest, objectives and goals that improve the quality of life of its residents” (Executive Summary Document, Mission Statement).
Our Vision
We envision vibrant, resilient communities where residents have equitable access to education, property acquisition opportunities, and meaningful support services. Our approach emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and a brokerage‑style model that connects people to the resources they need most.
What We Do
Cornerstone provides a broad array of charitable and educational services, including:
-
